Gilbert (five points to you if you get the reference) is a lovely RID stallion that Zodiac is proud to compete and stand at stud this year. We purchased this lovely boy from Zodewood after his owner abandoned him and we're planning on making him one of the pinnacles of the RID and IDSH breeding stallions in Riata. Gilbert is a slightly "new style" RID being slightly taller than most traditional RID and with a little bit more refinement to his movement and his frame. He still maintains the traditional temperament and gorgeous explosive movement however, and will sire lovely RID sport horses when crossed with another RID or with a Thoroughbred. His temperament isn't the best, we'll admit. He can be a crusty little cow when working around him and his ears are often back more than they're forward. He'll buck you off if he thinks he can get you off, but he has, thankfully, clicked with some of our better riders and is now working well and progressing at a very quick speed through his dressage lessons.
