Tick is a gorgeous mare we're looking after for Megan of SKR until she gets back to the game. We were a little bit wary about bringing this gorgeous girl to Zodiac after seeing her behaviour at the RCTA shows... Shall we say that she isn't the most well-behaved horse there? This is apparently nothing new and Megan assured us that although she's a firecracker, she's never dangerous or mean, just assertive and a little bit exuberant at times. We've quickly come to enjoy this mare and we really appreciate her heart, her speed, and her endurance as an eventing competitor. We will be continuing her eventing career and have a super talented young rider on her - we hope the pair will be mutually beneficial to each other! Here's what Megan has to say about this pretty girl: "Tick is going to be a firecracker of a mare. It was her fiery temperment that drew me too her. The first time I met this mare, she was dragging her handler all over the place, showing everyone exactly who was boss. Normally that would turn me away from a horse, but the power and grace she displayed while doing it drew me to her. She's a very fiery little mare and while she's difficult to handle, she certainly has the speed and endurance, as well as the heart to do amazingly well as a high calibre sport horse. She will be shown lightly in over fences classes and in some dressage shows. We eventually hope to aim her towards an eventing career. She loves to fly over the cross country fences, which is evident of the picture above. That was her first time on a cross country course and she didn't want to stop. Keep an eye out for this firecracker! SKR is focusing more on QH and QH crosses, so Tick will become a next generation broodmare. But that's a little ways in the future, after Tick's successful eventing career!"
